ICYMI: adidas ZX 4000 4D ‘I Want I Can’

I’ll be the first to admit. I was wrong.

After listing down the releases, adidas had other things in mind as they released the Torsion X and the ZX 4000 4D ‘I Want I Can’ edition. If the slogan sounds familiar, it’s actually from the ZX campaign from the ’80s. More recently, adidas usedi it again for the ZX Flux back in 2015.

Veering away from the loud ‘Easy Mint’ colorway, the new ZX 4000 4D comes with a predominant white Primeknit upper paired with the light green now-iconic 4D midsole. “I Want I Can” can be seen in blue and orange, printed over the lateral side of the Primeknit upper. To keep things balanced, the blue and orange hits are seen on the tongue tab, as well as on the embroidery on the heel tab. ZX 4000 4D branding is lasered into the medial rear quarter

Final finishing touches include ZX 4000 4D branding etched into the medial rear-quarter support, lime green accents on the black outsole and a contrasting grey primeknit section seen on the medial forefoot.
