New: Vans just unveiled their Future Currents Collection
It’s always great to see legacy brands come up with something new.
With brands all turning towards a more enviromentally-friendly push, Vans recently unveiled their Future Currents VR3 Collection, footwear and apparel that’s safe for the environment without sacrificing the look and feel we’ve grown to love from one of our favorite skate brands.
Each pair from the collections follows the Vans VR3 design guidelines — where 30% of the product is made of one or a combination of regenerative, renewable and/or recycled materials. The UltraRange Neo VR3 (Php 8,498) upper is made with 100% recycled PET textile and leathers sourced from farms that implement regenerative practices. The shoe’s sole is made of 50% bio-based EVA foam and an outsole that’s 60% regeneratively grown natural rubber.
Aside from the UltraRange Neo VR3, there’s also the Sk8-Hi 38 Decon VR3 (Php 6,998) and the Authentic VR3 (Php 5,998), both using suede and canvas uppers made from 100% US-grown cotton from farms that help improve a soil’s ability to absorb carbon. The Harbor Mule (Php 6,498) completes the footwear collection. All the footwear feature a muted color scheme with calming details that pay homage to ocean waves, natural surface patterns and Zen gardens.
The Vans Future Currents collection is now available at Vans Ayala Center Cebu, Glorietta, Greenbelt, SM Megamall and Trinoma. They are also available online via Vans Official Chat Store at https://tinyurl.com/VansPhOfficialChatstore.
