40 STRONG – Vans x Alva Skates celebtrates four decades of skateboarding with this new collection

After re-opening their Glorietta store last November, Vans opens the year with a bang. Today, Vans releases their latest collection with Alva Skates and their longtime team rider Tony Alva. Drawing inspiration from Tony’s imaginative world of creative exploration that spans art, music and beyond, and invites fans and newcomers alike into his creative journey, on and off the board, over the past 40 years. 

For those who’re not too familiar with the legendary skater, Alva helped Vans develop their first-ever skateboarding shoe, the Era. This season’s collection features the Authentic 44 DX Alva Skates done in leopard print as well as other designs drawing design cues from Alva’s board designs dating back in the ’70s, ’80s and present day.

The collection also features select apparel pieces such as the crew fleece, OTW short sleeve tee, a loose tapered cargo pant and a bucket hat dressed in Alva Skates and Vans pins.
