New: Sperry teams up with Palmes for a take on the Racquet Oxford

Now here’s something we didn’t know we needed. With tennis coming back in a big way since the pandemic, Sperry has teamed up with Copenhagen’s Palmes Tennis Society for their own rendition of the Racquet Oxford. While Sperry’s been known more for its nautical efforts, they’ve had their fair share of other sportswear, including tennis.

Palmes founder Nikolaj Hansson mentioned that the Racquet Oxford represents their brand so well. “I started designing this at my family cabin off the Danish west coast. It’s on a small island, surrounded by dunes and vast beaches, with a tennis court nearby. It allowed me to capture the emotional overlap of Palmes and Sperry; the tennis and the ocean.” The shoe’s design is understated yet rich in sentiment, with its subtle constrast seen throughout the silhouette.

The retro silhouette comes with an off-white canvas upper, with dark green accents with suede hits for added detailing. Dark green eyelets match the rubber outsole which is equipped with the brand’s Wave-Siping sole for grip and traction.
