New: Check out Sperry’s Top-Sider Classics collection

Summer. Seas. Sperrys. Top-Siders.

Sounds about right. Sperry, more commonly known as the creator of the boat shoe, recently launched their Top-Sider Classics collection. As mentioned on our post a few days back, Sperry has dug up their archives to celebrate their rich history while adding a few twists to these classics.

This season, they’re bringing back two silhouettes that truly made a mark in the brand’s history – the U.S. 12 and the Racquet Oxford.

The U.S.12: Sail into History

Originally worn by the US sailing team during the 1987 America’s Cup, the shoe makes its triumphant return in 2024. Bringing back the original logo and upper from the 80s, the shoe is a symbol of true grit, national pride and sporting success. The upper’s made of full-grain leather with suede accents, coupled with a padded tongue and collar for comfort. The U.S.12 also featurs breathable mesh panels for better breathability.

The Sperry U.S.12 retails for Php 6,590 and comes in two colorways (White and Green/Multi).

The Racquet Oxford: A Smash Hit from the Past

No summer look is complete if you don’t have the right pair of sneakers. First released in the 60s, the Racquet Oxford is the quintessential tennis sneaker. Leather and Suede uppers adorn the shoe while accented by a vulc rubber toe cap, all carrying trims and accents reminiscent of those simpler days. Both the U.S.12 and the Racquet Oxford both feature the brand’s razor-cut Wave-Siping technology for grip on any surface.

The Sperry Racquet Oxford retails for Php 4,495 and also comes in two colorways (White and Green).
