New: Skechers just unveiled the SKX JE1

Posted on Dec 8, 2025 in Skechers

The Process continues, this time with Skechers. Joel Embiid’s been with the brand since April 2024, but it’s just the right time to introduce his first signature shoe with the brand – the SKX JE1. The JE1 also marks the brand’s first signature basketball shoe.

“I’ve been working with Skechers on fine-tuning every detail of the SKX JE1 and I’m excited to share it with the world,” said Joel Embiid. “Skechers strives for excellence in performance and comfort, so I couldn’t ask for a better partner in creating this signature shoe.”

Comfort and Support. That’s been the key focus both the design team and Joel Embiid’s been working on ever since he signed on with the brand. In terms of cushioning, Skechers utilized the responsive 5GEN cushioning, Move Foam insoles, and an internal nylon shank. All these elements work together to create superior comfort and stability for that first step. The shoe also comes with a plush collar and exaggerated heel design to keep you locked down. The SKX JE 1 also features Goodyear rubber outsoles featuring a multi-directional traction pattern that mimics the design of the shoe’s upper. The 3D-printed material on the upper represents the harmony in the chaos that Joel has found throughout his career. The three ridges on the heel represent the 3 keys of life – heritage, sports, and family.

Embiid is part of Skechers Basketball roster that includes NBA stars Julius Randle, OG Anunoby, Norman Powell, Isaiah Hartenstein, Terance Mann, Jabari Walker and Josh Green, as well as WNBA players Rickea Jackson, Kiki Iriafen, and WNBA Champion Jackie Young.

The SKX JE1 officially drops this Thursday, December 11 at the NBA Store. The Blue/Pink colorway will be available while three other colorways are set to drop at Skecher stores a week after.
