New: SKECHERS enters the basketball arena with the SKX Resagrip and SKX FLOAT

Posted on Oct 26, 2023 in Skechers

With the NBA Season tipping off this week, the most unlikely brand made the biggest splash on court — Skechers.

Creating quality footwear for both lifestyle and performance, Skechers entered the basketball market in the biggest way possible — introducing their latest silhouette on the feet of some notable stars of the game – Knicks All-Star Julius Randle and up and coming Clipper Terance Mann. With the season underway, we’ll get to see these players rock their latest silhouettes – the SKX Resagrip (now available) and the SKX FLOAT.

Skechers sent us the SKX Resagrip for us to get a closer look at their basketball offering. Upon first try, I must say that the cushioning has been pretty good while providing great responsiveness with every move. The shoe also features Goodyear Resagrip technology for superior traction on any surface. This shoe is perfect for players who put a premium on comfort while moving at top speeds. The SKX FLOAT (as seen on Randle) is made for players in search of game-changing stability. The shoe uses a strategically-placed TPU plate to keep the foot in place while the brand’s Swirl Tech design provides flexibility on court when paired with its Goodyear outsole traction pattern. Both pairs also utilize Skechers’ Hyper Burst technology in the midsole paired with the Hyper Burst Pro sockliner for added comfort.

Randle and Mann join a solid lineup of athletes for Skechers Performance, which includes FC Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, golfers Matt Fitzpatrick and Brooke Henderson, pickleball pros Tyson McGuffin and Catherine Parenteau, as well as Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw.

The Skechers Basketball collection is now available at Skechers Glorietta and soon available at select Skechers doors and Footlocker doors around the country. The Philippines is one of only three countries (along with the US and China) where Skechers is debuting their basketball lineup. Additional colorways arrive later this year along with low-top versions of both styles in Spring 2024. Both the SKX Resagrip SKX FLOAT retail for Php 8,995.
