New: The Reebok BB4000 II returns this February
BB’s back.
While it did release back in October, the BB4000 II is back for 2023 after debuting back in ’86. During its heyday, Reebok flipped the industry over when they puhed their tennis and aerobics line, but further cemented their stake when they released the BB4000, their foray into basketball. In 1989, the BB 4000 II was released, which then transcended from court to the streets.
“Not many brands can genuinely play in both sport and lifestyle like Reebok,” commented Reebok CEO Todd Krinsky. “At Reebok, style is classic – it’s synonymous with heritage and authenticity. With the revival of BB 4000 II, we’re excited to bring to market a shoe that embodies who we are, balancing performance roots with vintage style, while evolving our rich basketball archive for today’s consumer.”
The BB 4000 II comes with premium leather overlays across the upper, a unique split Union Jack tongue logo and an EVA rubber midsole. Reebok brings us two colorways for this season:
- White/ Grey/ Glen Green (IF4790) Inspired by the vintage Letterman jacket colors,Letterman jackets were awarded to athletes to show they are part of a team and to represent the school that they play for. This comes in leather underlays with suede and nubuck overlays
- White/ Ecru/Coral Court (IF4730) A basketball inspired in neutral for her with subtle lavender accents on the sidewall, heel and tongue
The BB 4000 II drops this Thursday, February 16, with the shoe retailing for Php 5,595. The shoe will be available at Reebok SM Megamall, Sports Central, SM stores and online (https://reebok.ph).
