Collect ‘Em All: Reebok teams up with Panini for a special collection
In the world of sports and collectibles, it’s not a stretch for a sports fan to own a piece of the ‘game’, whether it’s a prized card or your favorite player’s sneaker. Reebok saw the opportunity and partnered with one of the biggest sports card manufacturers Panini for a special collection that brings both to the forefront. Using their “Prizm” brand, we’re getting a pair of Allen Iverson’s Question done in pure card fashion.
Since 2012, Panini’s Prizm has been one of the fans’ favorite lines and it just made sense to bring in one of the most collected players and his signature shoe – the Question – in this card meets sneaker collection. Reebok outdid themselves with this one, applying details that most card collectors would surely appreciate. Coming through three silhouettes – 2 Question Mids and a Question Low – you’ll seedetails like embroidered AI autographs, the Panini yellow tag, light-reactive prints and the “Rookie Shoe” hang tag, pretty much like the RC badge you seen on the year’s rookie crop.
Question Mid “Tiger Prizm”: this wearable colorway nods Iverson’s tenacity, taking cues from Panini America’s admired “Tiger Prizm” parallel with overlays across a white leather upper. The shoe retails for Php 8,895.
Question Low “Rookie Signature Prizm”: this design puts a glossy royal blue “Prizm” spin on the low-cut Question, paying homage to Iverson’s rookie team colors. The Question Low retails for Php 6,895.
Question Mid “Black Pulsar Prizm”: the Rarest in the line, this Question Mid offers a narrative on the flashing lights surrounding A.I. via Panini America’s hyper-rare “Black Pulsar Prizm” treatment on the upper alongside smooth suede overlays (Will be available in the PH in limited quantites).
No sneaker-card collab would be complete without a pack of limited-edition cards from Panini. Each pair comes with a pack that contains cards featuring Iverson during his playing days. Special “Prizm” cards and short prints as well as on-card autograph cards, Iverson-worn patches and more.
The Reebok x Panini ‘Prizm’ collection drops November 24 at the Reebok store (SM Megamall) and Sports Central.
