New: Turtle Power! PUMA’s releasing their TMNT collection this ASW

TURTLE POWER!

All-Star Weekend has been a sneakerheads’ Fashion Week/Oscars/Grammys/Super Bowl all rolled into one. While most of the attention is on the court, you can’t not miss all the activations and releases surrounding the rest of festivities happening all over the world, especially in basketball-crazy countries such as the Philippines.

Last year, we were treated with the Cheetos activation done for Scoot Henderson, but 2025 poses to be something a little more special, especially for us who grew up watching these turtles. PUMA is set to launch a full footwear and apparel collection focusing on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT). While this isn’t the first time we’ve seen the turtles on our sneakers, this seems to be the most elaborate and fitting.

On the basketball front, PUMA utilized the various LaMelo Ball silhouettes, focusing on the Turtles and their foes.

First up is the MB.01 “Baxter Stockman”. The “Baxter” actually dropped earlier in the month. The shoe draws inspiration from the half-man, half-fly scientist, Baxter Stockman. Similar to the bug’s eyes, the shoe features a iridiscent upper with additional TMNT details found on the tongue and heel. The MB.01 “Baxter Stockman” is now available via PUMA.com, and the following PUMA stores: Glorietta, Ayala Center Cebu, Bonifacio High Street, Venice Grand Canal and SM North Edsa. The PUMA MB.01 retails for Php 9,200.

Last weekend, PUMA dropped the first half of the TMNT foursome through the MB.04. The mismatched “Raphael & Donatello” pair has Donatello (purple) on the left, and Raphael (red) on the right. the upper also features a 5D printed multi-layered upper resembling alien tentacles and custom TMNT graphic at the heel. The heel graphic also features the respective turtles’ weapon of choice. The MB.04 “Raphael & Donatello” Is now available at select Titan and Planet Sports stores. The shoe comes in Men’s (Php 8,900) and Kids’ (Php 6,900) sizes.

While the initial release saw 2 of 4 turtles on the MB.04, the other two drops this Friday. The MB.04 “Leonardo & Michelangelo” drops February 14, featuring the other two (Michelangelo left, Leonardo right). The design runs the same across the Raph/Donatello pair, making it a perfect shoe to mix and match, based on your favorite turtle combo. The MB.04 “Leonardo & Michelangelo” drops this Friday on PUMA.com, PUMA stores at Glorietta, Ayala Center Cebu, Bonifacio High Street, Venice Grand Canal, SM North EDSA, Foot Locker and Titan stores. The shoe retails for Php 8,900 (Men’s) and Php 6,900 for Kids’.

While we do want to see a Shredder variant, this “Krang” is no slouch. The pink and purple low top showcases Krang’s alien brain on the upper with yellow eyes situated perfectly around the toe box. The shoe also features the brand’s NITROFOAM technology and a breathable monomesh upper for a more lightweight feel. The PUMA MB.03 Lo “Krang” drops next Saturday, February 22 on PUMA.com, PUMA stores at Glorietta, Ayala Center Cebu, Bonifacio High Street, Venice Grand Canal, and SM North EDSA. The shoe will retail for Php 8,500.

PUMA Sportstyle Footwear X TMNT

Now, if you’re not planning to take the court in the MBs but still want to rep the Turtles, PUMA’s also dropping three pairs on the sportstyle front. The TMNT x PUMA Suede XL “Green” pays tribute to all four of the brothers with a turtle-like appearance with subtle nods to the brothers’ signature headbands. The TMNT x PUMA Suede XL “Pink” continues the Krang inspiration. Both pairs feature lace ornaments featuring TMNT characters and unique hangtag. The TMNT x PUMA Seude XL retails for Php 7,200. The shoe will also be available across the following PUMA stores – Glorietta, Ayala Center Cebu, Bonifacio High Street, Venice Grand Canal, and SM North EDSA.

The TMNT X PUMA RS-X “Green” is inspired by the “mysterious ooze” with its green accents and a mix of cracked leather, mesh, suede, and smooth leather. The shoe’s midsole and outsole is covered in a vibrant green color to complete the design. Like the Suede XL, the shoe will also be available across th same stores and will retail for Php 7,400.
