Special Release: John Elliott x Nike LeBron ICON QS

Posted on May 28, 2019 in Nike

Over the last 18 months, LeBron James has been at the center of so many solid silhouettes from Nike Basketball. His last two signature pairs have been runaway hits, but with the launch of #LeBronWatch and meaningful collaborations such as Harlem Fashion Row and Kith, Nike’s definitely done a great job bannering their most marketable asset. Roughly a year ago, LeBron debuted his collaborative partnership with designer John Elliott with the LeBron ICON QS, a shoe that used the midsole tooling of the LEBRON 8. While the initial release was dressed in white, the silhouette returns this weekend in black detailing and translucent uppers.

While the shoe dropped last Wednesday at John Elliott’s Los Angeles store on Melrose, we’re getting our release this Tuesday at Titan. The ‘Triple Black’ sneaker does have some green hits on its outsole, providing a pop of color to this black beauty.

“The Icon has become part of my uniform,” Elliott told us. “It’s deeply ingrained in the brand, from the way we style our lookbooks, to how we live in Los Angeles. This version is versatile because the upper allows you to create a layered look depending on what socks you wear underneath, but the all black design is also stealthy. It’s one of those sneakers that’s like a Swiss Army Knife for your wardrobe, it works with almost anything.”

The John Elliott x Nike LEBRON Icon QS ‘Triple Black’ retails for Php 12,145 and is now available as a special release.
