Quarantine Picks: Nike releases this week
We’re several weeks into the ECQ and I’m sure a lot of you are itching to flex your latest pickups. While it isn’t the best time to do so (but continue to stay active indoors, everyone), you might want to consider these new releases from Nike/Jordan Brand for your significant other. While releases have been few and far between, expect them to continue to sell well despite the retail stores still on lockdown. Here’re a couple of pairs that’s worth picking up when they drop tomorrow:
Women’s Air Jordan I Mid ‘Multicolor’
Haven’t we seen these before? Surprisingly, it’s a new color update for the Women’s Air Jordan I Mid. We’ve seen the AJ1 in several colorways, but this one takes the cake, especially for Spring/Summer 2020. The ‘Multicolor’ Mids feature a white leather base layer, coupled with a bunch of colors for its overlays. The black accents found on the Swoosh, Wings logo, collar and laces definitely tie things together amidst all the color. What’s great about this pair is the use of canvas, patent leather, suede and nubuck to go with the exposed stitching throughout. The Women’s Air Jordan I Mid ‘Multicolor’ retails for Php 6,295 and expect these to sell out quickly.
Nike Wmns Air Max 2090 ‘Lotus Pink’
After debuting on Air Max Day last month, a lot of people are still on the fence with the Air Max 2090. Inspired by the Air Max 90 from 30 years ago, the Air Max 2090 definitely brings old into the new with its future-forward design. While it may not be an obvious hit like some other silhouettes, the Air Max 2090 falls under the ‘wait-til-you-get-a-nice-colorway’ pickup. Tomorrow, I think we’re getting a solid one with the ‘Lotus Pink’ release.
From the translucent uppers to the Air Max 90 design influences, the ‘Lotus Pink’ Air Max 2090 gives everyone something familiar without being way out there. With more Air underneath, the Air Max 2090 is worth trying out. The only drawback to this sneaker? It’s a women’s exclusive.
The Wmns Air Max 2090 ‘Lotus Pink’ drops tomorrow, April 9, via the Nike.com/ph site. The shoe retails for Php 7,195.
