Nike Cosmic Unity – Let the Trash Do the Talking
First it was the Space Hippie. Then we saw the Crater Collection across Nike, Converse and Jordan Brand. Today, Nike takes another step into its Move to Zero campaign by launching their first performance shoe, the Nike Cosmic Unity.
You might’ve seen the shoe on Anthony Davis’ feet or Las Vegas Aces’ forward A’ja Wilson this year, but Nike officially unveiled the shoe today for us consumers. The shoe is all about circular design, as its made with at least 25% recycled material, definitely a step into the right direction of reducing waste and carbon footprint. Aside from the unique looking upper, the shoe also features a full-length Zoom Air Strobel unit for responsiveness. Similar to previous Crater silhouettes, the outsole is made up of Nike Crater Foam and Nike Grind rubber. Heck, even the Swoosh you see here is made up of recycled content.
With the Nike Cosmic Unity, the brand aims to make both the world a better place while making the athlete perform much better. The Nike Cosmic Unity is set to drop on February 26 in its Green Glow colorway, with two other colorways dropping March 2021. The shoe will retail for Php 7,795.
