New: Nike officially unveils the Sabrina 2
After seeing weeks worth of leaks, Nike and Sabrina Ionescu confirmed it — this is the Sabrina 2.
Ionescu was seen during her tunnel walk with the 2s in hand, and eventually in game as she played against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever. The Sabrina 1 was definitely one of the hits for Nike Basketball this past season and the latest collection plans on continuing that success, alongside a full suite of lifestyle apparel for everyone (including kids’ sizes for the first time).
At first glance, the Sabrina 2 looks like its predecessor, but with fresh upgrades. True enough, the shoe is 28 grams lighter withough sacrificing support, stability or comfort. The midsole is made of Cushlon 3.0 foam, while a Nike Zoom Air unit is placed in the forefoot for energy return and responsiveness. An updated band system wraps around the midfoot to keep the foot secure. The outsole now features a new “S”-inspired herringbone pattern for multidirection traction.
Design-wise, the shoe showcases an “S” frame that wraps around the upper, with intricate stitching and embroidery patterns which is a nod to Sabrina and her roots. On the medial side, you’ll see the vertical Swoosh once again, while a Swoosh with an “i” is incorporated into the outsole. Select colorways will feature the mirror-finished Swoosh, an affirmation from Sabrina to the next generation to see themselves in the shoe, which will also be available in GS sizing.
The Sabrina 2 signature collection will be available globally on June 28. Keep it locked here for more info on the apparel line and future colorways.
