New: Nike Basketball gave us a closer look at the GT Cut 4

Posted on Nov 9, 2025 in Nike

We’ve been clamoring, no, begging, Nike for innovation. After unveiling their innovation story last month, Nike continues to level up with their latest hoop shoe – the G.T. Cut 4. While we’ve tried on the other Greater Than series silhouettes before, the G.T. Cut 4s bold design is all about responsiveness.

The team behind Nike Basketball created a silhouette that’s all about cushioning, traction, stability and fit. “The G.T. Cut 4 pushes the game forward and is built to match the feel, speed and creativity of today’s athletes with Nike Basketball’s most advanced innovation yet,” says Ross Klein, VP, Creative Director, Nike Basketball. “We took what players loved from past G.T. Cut models and evolved it with new technologies and deeper insights from players around the world, creating a shoe made for the future of basketball and the hoopers shaping the game.”

Under the hood, the G.T. Cut 4’s got one of the most responsive cushioning technologies available – it uses a ZoomX 3.0 midsole and a parabolic Zoom Strobel that’s coupled with an RBR-X foam for stability. Cushlon is also added for support.

The G.T. Cut 4 comes in a low-profile sneaker with a snug and comfortable fit that helps players feel at one with the shoe. The shoe uses a 3D-molded collar, molded vamp tongue and an exoskeleton-casted containment upper for seamless, multidirectional movement.

We first saw the G.T. Cut 4 on ROY Paige Bueckers during the WNBA All-Star Weekend, then at the China International Import Expo in Shanghai. With the G.T. Cut 4 built to enable court feel, the G.T. Future is built for players who use their bounce to take over the game, with its forefoot Air Zoom unit with a parabolic Zoom Strobel and Cushlon 3.0 midsole.

Both G.T. silhouettes look and feel futuristic – perfectly made for the next generation of hoopers.

“Today’s players are defining their own path on and off the court,” says Klein. “The G.T. Series is Nike Basketball’s commitment to their future — built to elevate their game and style with bold design and breakthrough innovation.”

The Nike G.T. Cut 4 will be available in January 2026 at nike.com and select retail locations.
