LeBron’s ‘Hardwood Classics’ releases this Friday
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been around the Association for over 40 years. Growing up, I remember the Cavs being one of the elite teams in the League led by their no.1 pick Brad Daugherty, Mark Price, Larry Nance and Craig Ehlo. As much as they were one of the stronger teams in the East, Jordan ruled the Conference, pretty much like how LeBron has dominated the opposition over the last decade.
The Cavaliers during the 80s rocked the burnt orange and blue uniforms, a far cry to their original wine and gold ensemble we’ve been accustomed to. The NBA institutionalized the Hardwood Classics night. Over the course of the season, the teams would earmark certain dates to commemorate the franchise’s achievements and milestones. That’s why you might’ve seen LeBron wear the classic jerseys from time to time. This season, Nike Basketball continues the celebration by creating a “Hardwood Classics” edition for the LeBron XV. Nike first released the HWC colorway with the LeBron 7 and has continued the story across other LeBron silhouettes.
The HWC edition comes in blue Battle Knit upper, with Nike stitched on the medial side in burnt orange. Accents are found on the Zoom Air pods as well as the tongue. BBZ is embossed on the inner portion of the tongue, representing Bron’s kids — Bronny, Brice, and Zhuri. 330 is also found on the inner tab, representing Akron’s area code.
Earlier today, Titan offered RSVP reservations for the LeBron XV ‘Hardwood Classics’ edition, which is slated to release this Friday, February 9th. The shoe will retail for Php 9,295 and will be available at all Titan stores and titan22.com
