We all know Giannis grew up in Greece, but Milwaukee’s been his home since he moved Stateside. What better way to rep your City than with a shoe that reflects your new hometown?

It definitely helps when your footwear manufacturer is also your league’s outfitter. We’re in Year 3 of Nike being the NBA’s official outfitter. Not only are we getting highly functional jerseys, Nike’s done an amazing job with the special Statement, Icon and City edition makeups. As we begin the month of April, Nike Basketball adds a special colorway for Giannis specific to his team’s City Edition jersey.

The Nike Zoom Freak 1 ‘Home Away From Home’ just dropped and pays homage to both his home (Athens, Greece) and the Cream City. The colors of the shoe definitely reflect the new City Edition jersey for the Bucks, and the addition of the blue Swoosh and sole are a call out to Greece, his homeland. The shoe dropped yesterday on Nike PH’s website, still with a full size run. The Zoom Freak 1 ‘Home Away From Home’ retails for Php 6,295. Expect to see the shoe available at Nike stores and stockists once the ECQ is over.
