New Balance introduces the X-Racer
As we slowly bid adieu to the dad shoe/ugly shoe/chunky shoe phase of our sneaker lives, New Balance continues to celebrate the past by looking to the future with their most recent silhouettes. If you’ve noticed, there has been a resurgence of utilizing performance runners for everyday use. A slimmer, lower to the ground profile with superior cushioning is slowly becoming the norm. With this, New Balance looked to their archives and picked elements from their lesser known running silhouettes to give birth to a new silhouette that is the X-Racer.
Taking design cues from the 1200, RC205, and M1000, the X-Racer brings these late ’90s, early 2000s performance silhouettes into a bold new, slicker silhouette. The shoe utilizes mesh and synthetic materials, both commonly found on runners of that era.
New Balance hits us with a boatload of colorways for the X-Racer. To launch the X-Racer, New Balance is dropping four (4) colorways for men, which feature various materials on the shoe’s upper. Aside from the launch pack, there’s also six other colorways under the ‘Hybridize’ Pack (below).
The New Balance X-Racer retails for Php 6,295 while the X-Racer ‘Hybridize’ Pack retails for Php 4,995. Check out the colorways below and which stores will be carrying them:

New Balance X-Racer ‘Hybridize’ Pack – Men’s
The pack looks a lot like the launch set, but is further stripped down and utilizes the sonic welded overlays and features ABZORB Vis-Tech (read: reflective materials). Two kinds of mesh are used on the shoe’s upper. Four colorways are set to drop tomorrow across partner retailers.

There’s also a ‘Hybridize’ Pack exclusively for women. The shoe is built pretty much like the men’s edition, with mesh and synthetic uppers comprising the shoe’s upper. Metallic Silver and Gold comprise the shoe’s overlays.
