The Air Jordan 3 ‘Cool Grey’ makes its triumphant return this February 2021
Over the course of the last 30+ years, we’ve seen Jordan Brand drop several colorways for the Air Jordan III, with reissues of the more popular colorways (White Cement, Black Cement, True Blue just to name a few) peppered every few years. Aside from the Bulls or Tar Heels-inspired colorways associated with MJ, the ‘Cool Grey’ line has grown to be another favorite across Jordan heads. We’ve seen JB drop several Cool Grey Js in recent years, and we’re finally getting a reissue of the III for the first time since it dropped back in 2007.
While the general look of the shoe mimics the ’07 release, Jordan Brand actually updated the materials, making the CG III a little more fancy than usual. Premium leather construction replaces the suede uppers of the 2007 release, while the midsoles go for a matte-finish. The remainder of the shoe’s details reflect the initial release, keeping older heads at bay with the brand’s retro program. It was rumored that the 2021 reissue was going to have the ‘Nike Air’ badge on the heel, but these official photos say otherwise.
The Air Jordan III Retro ‘Cool Grey’ drops this Saturday (February 20) across Jordan stockists (Jordan Manila, Nike Park, Titan to name a few) for Php 9,445.
