Sustainable Air: We need the Jordan Crater Collection
Back in July, we featured the release of the Jordan Crater and Crater Slide, which is actually part of Jordan Brand’s Crater Collection. This weekend, the collection gets a much wider release with the addition of the much-anticipated Air Jordan 1 Zoom High ‘Crater’.
Similar to the Space Hippie, Vapormax 2020 Flyknit and the Converse CT All Star Crater, the Crater Collection is the brand’s entry to the company’s Move to Zero efforts of a zero carbon/zero waste future. Each piece in the collection embraces circular design principles, leaving little to no leftover manufacturing waste on the table.
The collection features three silhouettes – the Air Jordan 1 Zoom High, Jordan Crater and the Crater Slide. Each pair brings together future-forward sustainable design practices with clean and minimalist craftsmanship. The Air Jordan 1 Zoom High uses Nike Grind rubber for the foam outsole as well as recycled polyester for the synthetic suede upper. Full-length Zoom Air can be found for a more responsive cushioning system.
The Jordan Crater Collection drops tomorrow at Titan, with the Air Jordan 1 Zoom High retailing for Php 8,795. The Jordan Crater goes for Php 7,795 while the Crater Slide retails for Php 3,995.
