Jordan Brand’s Got A Lot Coming Our Way

Posted on Jan 26, 2018 in Jordan Brand

Aside from unveiling the 2018 Jordan All-Star Edition jerseys, Jordan Brand’s got a ton of footwear set to release over the course of the coming weeks leading up to All-Star Weekend and the weeks after. There are several pairs we have heard through the grapevine and today they’ve been confirmed coupled with a bunch that we never expected. Here’s a quick summary of what were unveiled during the launch of the ‘Future of Flight’ space in LA in time for All-Star Weekend:

Air Jordan III Retro ‘Black Cement’

1988 was the year when MJ rocked the Black Cement IIIs during the All-Star Game. The shoe (after so many rumored releases) is finally back in its truest, OG form (with the Nike Air on the heel).

Air Jordan III Retro ‘White Cement’ NRG

Aside from the Black Cements, the White Cement III makes its return. During that same All-Star Weekend, MJ launched from the free throw line during the Slam Dunk Contest. They come in true OG form, with the addition of a translucent sole the features a red stripe to represent the exact place where MJ took flight.

Air Jordan III ‘Tinker’

You know the man behind the III. Tinker’s original sketch for the Air Jordan III comes to life in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan III.

Air Jordan III Flyknit

After the Air Jordan 1 Flyknit, looks like JB found the next retro to Flyknit-ize. Seems like Jordan Brand has figured it out on how to keep the shape close to the original.

New Colorways for the Why Not ZER0.1

Jordan Brand is blessing the reigning MVP with four new colorways in time for the All-Star Weekend. Being an LA native, the ‘City of Flight’ Why Not ZER0.1 (left) has the map of LA printed on the shoe’s upper, with LA and RW emblazoned on the shoe’s left and right tongue. Like any signature shoe from JB, the Why Not ZER0.1 gets a ‘Bred’ rendition (right)

Russ also pays tribute to his late teammate and best friend, Khelcey Barrs III (left). Done in his high school teams colors, the Why Not ZER0.1 ‘KB3’ features Westbrook and Barrs’ uniform numbers as well as on the tongue in Russ’ handwriting. Lastly, there’s the ‘Cotton Shot’ Why Not ZER0.1 (right). This shoe pays homage to Westbrook’s practice sessions with his father growing up. His father would call “All Cotton” to those nothing-but-net shots RW would take.
