23 years after, “I’m Back” is stronger than ever in this silhouette

25 years ago, Michael Jordan left the game after winning his 3rd straight Larry O’Brien trophy. In the same summer, MJ lost his father and decided that he had nothing to prove and wanted to pursue another passion of his – baseball. 2 years later, Jordan realized that a (baseball) diamond can never replace the hardcourt. After training with the Bulls for several days, and giving the media outlets the runaround, Team Jordan was looking for the best way to announce his return. No press release would suffice and His Airness decided to fax the League with two words:

“I’m Back.”

Jordan played 17 games that season and a couple more during the Playoffs. He went on to win 3 more championships and the rest, they say, is history. In celebration of that memorable day, Jordan Brand brings out a new colorway for the Air Jordan 10, the shoe MJ wore that season. The shoe is done with a clean white upper and a contrasting black ankle collar and laces. The heel tabs feature the date of MJ’s return to the A on one shoe, and the famous two words on the other.

The Air Jordan X Retro “I’m Back” drops this Sunday, March 18th at select Titan doors (Fort, Jordan @ Vertis, Conrad, Shangri-la, Alabang, UPTC, Circuit, Titan22.com) for Php 9,445.
