New: Modern meets Classic in the Converse All-Star BB Trilliant CX
What a time to be a hooper. With old brands and new brands bringing in their A-Game, hoopers and sneaker fans have so many options to choose from, a far cry from how things were a decade ago. With the brands rich heritage, Converse blends moder tooling with their roots with their latest shoe — the All Star BB Trilliant CX.
Just like a lot of today’s high profile silhouettes, the Trilliant CX reduces unnecessary weight while also showcasing a diamond-shaped cut-outs along the the CX foam to deliver explosiveness, stability and containment. To further add some extra spring with first-step, Converse also added a Nike Zoom Air unit in the forefoot, while a CX foam boar is strategically placed on the lateral midfoot for support. The shoe also utilizes its integrated heel cap, high rubber outsole sidewall for lateral containment.
In terms of taking design cues from its roots, Converse traveled back 30 years and looked at the Converse Aerojam for inspiration. The Trilliant CX features a removable lace cover/shroud for styling, while a lace webbing system (first seen on the All Star BB Evo) helps provide lockdown. The ducktail heel aids in easier entry to the shoe.
The All Star BB Trilliant CX is set to release in the PH soon. Keep it locked here for the local release.
