New: Converse shifts to more Air with the All Star BB Shift CX
Can’t knock the All Star.
While we’ve been seeing bangers across the basketball landscape, the oldest and most seasoned player in the game just introduced their newest performance shoe, the All Star BB Shift CX. The shoe takes design cues from their archives while blending modern elements to create a new wave for Converse Basketball.
We’ve seen the All Star BB Shift before, but now injecting design elements from their archive such as the uppers of the Converse Tar Max Mid (the wavy uppers) and one of our childhood favorites, the Run ‘N Slam (older heads remember Kevin Johnson’s shoes back in the day).
The main difference from the initial All Star BB Shift is the addition of an enlarged Air Zoom unit in the forefoot for better bounce and energy return. The midsole is made of CX fomfort foam works well with the Air Zoom unit, while an internal plush collar aids in the overall comfort. The upper features a synthetic, adjustable cable lacing system for lockdown.
Expect to see the Converse All Star BB Shift CX this August at Converse and partner retailers.
