New: Converse brings back the Weapon in its OG form with Hiroshi Fujiwara
The year was 1986 and basketball was ruled by Magic and Larry. On their feet? The Converse Weapon. Considered to be one of the better silhouettes in basketball history, the Converse Weapon is back in its OG form, this time through a collaboration with fragment design’s very own Hiroshi Fujiwara.
Dressed in a full leather upper, the Converse Weapon features the classic Y-bar collar, the brand’s Star Chevron logo and the leather woven tongue. While the OG Weapons came in black/white and Gold/Purple, the Converse x FRGMT makes use of the classic fragment design color blocking of Sport Royal Blue, with hits of black and white throughout. To complete the look, the fragment design logo is debossed on the lateral heel.
Aside from the Weapon, the capsule collection also includes a wool varsity jacket, a french terry hoodie, and two loose-fit jerse tees.
The Converse x FRGMT Weapon drops this Sunday, May 21, at select Converse locations (Rockwell, Glorietta, ATC, Uptown BGC), Titan and Commonwealth. The shoe retails for Php 7,490.
