Trash We Love: Sole Academy releases the Converse CT All Star Crater
First it was the Space Hippie. Then it was the Vapormax 2020 Flyknit and Jordan Crater. Converse joins the family in pursuit to their Move to Zero (zero carbon and zero waster) with the release of the Chuck Taylor All Star Crater.
What’s great about this release is that Converse stayed true to their DNA. Looking at the sneaker, you see so many things familiar – the toe cap, the foing tap and the pin stripe. Converse molded the Crater Foam to the Chuck’s sole unit, developed new materials for the upper which feature recycled polyester and recycled post-industrial textile waste scraps to replicate the classic CTAS look. The result of the redesign introduced a new eyerow, now featuring less material, but also creating a new lacing system.
The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Crater is now available in two colorways, with each pair retailing for Php 4,990. You can purchase the pair at Sole Academy (BGC, UPTC, ATC, Trinoma, soleacademy.net).
