Converse and Tinker Hatfield release another Star Series collection this weekend
Last May, Converse and Nike design legend Tinker Hatfield unveiled the Star Series collection, a series of brand new silhouettes championing Converse’s rich history and heritage. This September, Converse and Tinker add a second sports-inspired collecion to the series.
The series was created as a hypermodern take on previous basketball and running silhouettes from Converse’s archive, but now built for the streets. While the initial collection was done in key colors, the new series features bold archival prints, colors and material veneering. Camo patterns, flames and animal prints are now seen on the new collection and check out the images below for a closer look:
Star Series BB
The Star Series BB is a nod to Converse’s rich basketball heritage. The shoe now comes in the brand’s archival prints (read: camo) with nubuck stitched eyelets and a reflective star and chevron. The Star Series BB utilizes Nike Cushlon for all-day comfort and support, while the mesh collar and tongue provide better breathability. The shoe retails for Php 7,990.
Star Series RN
Just like the Star Series BB, the Star Series RN takes cues from the brand’s running archives with prints we’ve seen on other Converse silhouettes. The shoe also adorns the stitched nubuck eyelets as well as mesh collar and tongue. Aside from Nike Cushlon, Converse also added OrthoLite into the footbed for comfort and support. The shoe also sports a reflective Star Chevron logo on the side panels. The Star Series RN retails for Php 5,390.
The Converse Star Series by Tinker Hatfield is set to drop this Saturday, September 14, at Converse Greenbelt and Shangri-la Plaza.
