Here’s a closer look at Brand Black’s Rare Metal II
The Game Has Changed.
It’s been a while since we’ve last heard from Brand Black, with the brand branching out doing all sorts of footwear over the last few years. With 2021, the brand goes back to its roots with basketball, offering us one of the most technical pairs to ever come out.
This is the Rare Metal II.
At first glance, the Rare Metal II definitely doesn’t look like your conventional hoop sneaker that’s out in the market. I’ve been ‘studying’ the shoe the past few days and still amazed at how much tech is built into this sneaker. While it may look like a lifestyle/trail running sneaker, the shoe was built for basketball. Weighing in at 11.5oz, the shoe’s fairly light compared to the pairs in the market, and the Vibram wraptech outsole provides superior traction without using too much rubber.
It terms of cushioning, the Rare Metal II features Supercritical foam, the latest technology which offers more responsiveness than anything that’s out there (yes, more rebound than Boost). What I’m feeling here is the translucent military-grade ripstop nylon upper. The materials definitely make the shoe sturdy, and you know that this is something that’ll last.
The Brand Black Rare Metal II drops today at Titan (FORT), with the shoe retailing for Php 11,995. All three colorways – Silver Black, Black Vapor, and Vapor Pristine are now available.
