RUN: adidas releases the Wood Wood UltraBoost 19

Posted on Nov 15, 2019 in Adidas

This weekend’s rounding out to be a pretty busy weekend, release-wise. While we have covered most of the major releases this past week, adidas Running takes their next step into offering something for running and sneaker enthusiasts alike. adidas just launched the Run City Pack, in the hope of using Running as the ultimate vehicle for self-expression and fulfillment.

To launch the Run City Pack, adidas worked with specific retailers with their specific capsule collections. To kick things off, we head to Copenhagen with the Danish label and longtime adidas partner, Wood Wood. What made Wood Wood the right partner was their unique perspective, as they use playful graphic touches as a key element to their products. “Running is an everyday thing now, so naturally it’s also become a part of the way people express their identity,” says Karl Oskar Olsen, co-founder of the brand. The collection features women’s running apparel, footwear and accesories, with the pieces utilizing innovative knitted constructions built on the brand’s aesthetic. On the footwear end, we get the UltraBoost 19, with colors symbolizing different running terrains. Brian Jensen (Co-Founder of Wood Wood) explains: “We wanted to draw attention to that sense of running without a purpose, of going places that you didn’t necessarily know you were going to. And of course, that doesn’t just mean in a physical way – it’s also about reaching some particular kind of headspace.”

To add to the collection, Wood Wood and the other partners also curated their very own running playlist, which will be available via the adidas Spotify channel.

The adidas x Wood Wood Run City Pack is now available at adidas.com.ph, with each pair retailing for Php 12,000. Check out the rest of the collection below.
