Release Reminder: adidas D.O.N. Issue #1 ‘Symbiote’

Earlier this month, adidas released Donovan Mitchell’s first ever signature shoe with adidas, the D.O.N. Issue #1. Two colorways initially dropped in time for Spider-Man: Far From Home, as the initial colorways are inspired by Spidey’s different suits. With the ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ and ‘Stealth’ selling well, adidas Basketball adds another colorway to the mix with the ‘Symbiote’.

The shoe is done in Core Black, Shock Pink with Cloud White hits. One apparent difference here is that leather replaces the mesh upper, with pink accents found on the top eyelet, outsole and speckles on the midsole. Aside from this being patterned after Peter Parker’s symbiote suit, the design is quite similar to the custom Dame 4 he wore during the Slam Dunk contest he won back in 2018. To cap things off, Donovan’s spider logo is on the shoe’s tongue and the adidas x Marvel co-branded logo is printed on the shoe’s insoles.

The adidas D.O.N. Issue #1 ‘Symbiote’ drops tomorrow, July 18, at select addias stores and stockists such as Titan. The shoe retails for Php 5,500.
