Ready for the Cup: adidas Samba Rose W

While the whole country is fixated on the NBA Finals this June, another major sporting event is actually happening in a couple of days: the FIFA World Cup. While the Superstar, Stan Smith, Gazelle and Campus roam the streets, the Samba has been the indoor sneaker that has made its mark off the pitch. This season, adidas Originals gives the classic sneaker a platform sole, in the women’s exclusive Samba Rose.

Making the Samba into a more feminine silhouette, the Samba Rose uses softer leather and replaced the iconic T-toe panel with a decorative zig-zag stitching. The shoe’s heel tab is also different while keeping the branding on the lateral side and tongue true to the classic. To cap things off, the shoe uses a translucent gum sole, with an embossed trefoil logo found on the shoe’s midsole.

The adidas Samba Rose W comes in two classic colorways and is now available at Capital for Php 5,800. The classic Samba is also available for men, retailing for Php 5,300.
