NEW: The Believe That. Tour: Manila is happening this August
This August, adidas is turning Manila peach.
Ever since adidas announced the return of global adidas athlete and basketball superstar Anthony Edwards to Manila this August, fans have been excited to participate every possible activity for the three-day affair. Headlined by the Anthony Edwards Fan Fest on August 15 at BGC, the celebration transforms BGC into Ant’s world, with basketball, culture, and community coming together throughout the week.
Here’s a rundown of events and activations fans can participate in during the Believe That. Tour:
Believe That. Tour Merch Store | August 9 to 16 | adidas 5th Avenue
Beginning August 9, adidas 5th Avenue transforms into the Believe That. tour Merch Store. Inspired by the merchandise destinations seen on global concert tours, the space reimagines the adidas 5th Avenue store through Anthony Edwards’ signature peach aesthetic. Fans can shop exclusive “Manila, Believe That.” tees, limited-edition decals designed with local artist Charlie Salazar, and a curated selection of Anthony Edwards footwear and apparel.
You can also purchase the two basketball silhouettes – the AE 2 ‘Magpakitang Gilas’ and Believe That.1 ‘Tibay ng Lahi’, both designed by Filipino creative Melvin Rodas.
Manila, Believe That. Tees and tour-exclusive decals will be available at the Believe That. Tour Merch Store on August 9, with select adidas Stores in the Metro and adidas.com.ph to follow.
The adidas x Foot Locker Believe That. Challenge | August 14 | BHS Amphitheatre
On Friday, August 14, adidas and Foot Locker will be staging the Believe That. Challenge, a nationwide 1v1 basketball tournament inspired by AE’s fearless style of play.
Players can secure a spot in the tournament by purchasing any pair of the Anthony Edwards 2 or Believe That. 1 at Foot Locker stores or footlocker.ph and completing the online registration process before August 9. One player will emerge victorious, take home ₱100,000, and receive the championship crown from Anthony Edwards himself. For more information, visit this link.
For fans who simply want to watch the action unfold, the tournament is free and open to public, offering a front-row seat to some of the country’s most competitive one-on-one basketball.
Anthony Edwards Fan Fest | August 15 | 5th Avenue and C1 Park
The celebration culminates on August 15 with the Anthony Edwards Fan Fest, taking over BGC’s 5th Avenue and C1 Park.
Open to the public and free of charge, the event invites fans to experience a full afternoon and evening of basketball, culture, and entertainment inspired by Anthony Edwards and the Believe That. movement.
Visitors can explore:
- Interactive basketball challenges with exclusive tour merchandise up for grabs
- The Gamer Zone, where adiClub members can compete on NBA 2K on PlayStation 5 consoles
- Photo moments and installations created for fans to capture and share their Fan Fest experience
- Lifestyle, community, and brand activations spread throughout the festival grounds
Fans should keep their eyes on the streets of Bonifacio Global City as Anthony Edwards makes his highly anticipated arrival to the Fan Fest. As the sun sets over 5th Avenue, thousands of fans will gather to officially welcome Anthony Edwards to Manila through a live stage program celebrating his first visit to the Philippines with adidas.
