New: adidas introduces the SWITCH FWD
When you’re focused on providing the best innovation for your runners, you should always look outside the box for ways to get there. Today, adidas gives us the SWITCH FWD – a void-filled EVA midsole that collapses and springs forward, converting weight into forward motion with every stride. While the design may not suggest it at first glance, the SWITCH FWD provides a smooth running experience we should all try out.
The tooling behind the SWITCH FWD is comprised of a soft EVA compound for its midsole, coupled with a TPU plate that provides a stable and cushioned base. The setup provides the proper transition for the forefoot and midfoot as you move forward.
Mili Seiffert, Global Product Manager at adidas Running said: “We’re always looking at innovative ways to redefine our design processes to bring real benefits to our community – whether they are at the top of the sport, or an everyday runner. While it sounds simple, the ambition to convert weight into forward motion is easier said than done. It’s taken years of testing with athletes of every level to get where we have today. It’s a triumph of innovation, and a testament to our ambition and drive to deliver new running shoe technology.”
While the midsole is made with the soft EVA compound, the outsole is made of Continental, offering runners with proper grip and traction for all weather conditions. The upper is made of a lightweight engineered mesh, with strategically placed windows on the forefoot and midfoot for breathability.
The adidas SWITCH FWD is now available via the adidas app, adidas.com.ph and select adidas stores for Php 8,500. There are several colorways already available.
