adidas Running just released UltraBoost 19 x Toy Story 4 this week
adidas has definitely scored high marks when it comes to tapping into other markets to come up with a hit. Over the past 12 months, we’ve seen the brand create special collections with Dragonball Z, Game of Thrones, and recently the Marvel Heroes Among Us Collection.
While we did enjoy the recent collabs, it’s time to focus on the kids. This week, Disney/Pixar released the 4th installment of their hit movie, Toy Story. In partnership with the Studio, adidas created two iterations of their latest running shoe, the Ultraboost 19 in the colors of the two lead characters Woody and Buzz Lightyear.
While we have seen several footwear brands create special color ups of these characters, adidas gets the official nod (I believe Vans had the last collab a few months back and the rest were simply ‘inspired’ by the movie), with the co-branded logo and the graphics printed on the shoe’s sockliner. The predominantly black upper with yellow, red, and blue hits represent ‘Woody’ while the white Primeknit upper with green, orange and purple hits are a nod to Buzz Lightyear. Both pairs utilize the brand’s vaunted Boost midsole and a soft rubber outsole for proper traction.
Aside from the special colorways, the adidas Ultraboost 19 also comes in a special co-branded Toy Story 4 shoe box. The box features the various key characters of the latest Disney film.
The adidas Ultraboost 19 x Toy Story 4 is now available across all Sole Mini branches, and select adidas Homecourt stores (Fort, Trinoma, Rockwell, ATC, Glorietta and Megamall). Unfortunately, the shoe only comes in kids’ sizing. Each pair retails for Php 4,500.
