adidas Originals releases the soccer-inspired Sobakov

Posted on Jul 18, 2018 in Adidas

adidas Originals wants you to know that they’re not a one-trick pony with the NMD. Sure, adidas Originals is one of the strongest lifestyle lines out there, but the brand has done a marvelous job of creating new sneakers from their storied past. With the Samba and Kamanda releasing this year, adidas comes full circle with the World Cup by releasing the Sobakov.

Continuing the terrace culture, the Sobakov looks like a blend of past soccer sneakers but updated for today’s streets. The shoe is packaged with a ribbed knitted upper to go along with the much more discreet gum outsole (compared to that of the Kamanda). The Three Stripes are similar to the Predator from the early 2000s, with it wrapping around the heel. To finishing things off, the leather patches on the tongue and heel add texture to the solid sneaker.

The adidas Sobakov drops this Saturday, July 21st, at select adidas Originals stores, Sole Academy and Commonwealth. The shoe retails for Php 7,000.
