adidas Consortium & mita collaborate on the “Cages & Coordinates” Pack

Long time collaborators adidas Consortium and mita Sneakers are set to release a two-sneaker capsule taking inspiration from mita’s home city of Tokyo. Dubbed “Cages & Coordinates”, the collection is broken down into two — with the NMD_TS1 PK taking on the “Cages” while the Stan Smith represents the “Coordinates”.

This is the first time we’re seeing the NMD_TS1 PK, a higher cut model than the R1. The shoe features a shroud as opposed to the more traditional lacing system and a fence aesthetic, a nod to the store’s wire display cages found at mita’s stores.

The Stan Smith “Coordinates” uses black leather on the upper, complete with black heel tabs and side-zips. Aside from the deconstructed look, the shoe also features text across the toe, tongue and heel. The coordinates found here are of the mita store in Tokyo as well as the adidas HQ in Germany. The adidas Consortium x mita “Cages & Coordinates” Pack is set to release this Friday at Commonwealth. The pack will be available at the SM Aura store on a first come, first serve basis.
