adidas brings out a clean ZX 500 RM this October

For those who have been following the site, you know that the ZX 500 is one of my all time favorite silhouettes. When adidas relaunched their Consortium line back in 2011, they used the ZX 500 as their launch silhouette. Not only was it the perfect canvas for any collaboration, it also represented so much of the brand’s heritage. In 2014, adidas retooled the ZX line via the ZX Flux, a perfect silhouette to banner in the brand’s rebirth. 5 years in and its come full circle with the release of the ZX 500 RM.

Like most of the brand’s best silhouettes, adidas Originals have added today’s tech to make it more relevant. Whether it was the addition of Primeknit or Boost, adidas have updated their library for today’s consumer. The ZX 500 RM fits right into the mix as we have seen retro-styled silhouettes like the I-5923 do so well with today’s clientele. adidas remastered the ZX 500 by adding Boost to its midsole for superior cushioning to match its retro styling. adidas most recently used the silhouette for the Dragon Ball Z ‘Goku’ collaboration. Today, adidas Originals brings them out again, this time in a clean Core White colorway.

The adidas ZX 500 RM ‘Core White’ retails for Php 7,500 and is now available at Commonwealth (SM Aura/Greenbelt), Sole Academy (BGC), adidas Originals Neighborhood Stores and adidas PH online.
