Prepare to Fly: The Air Jordan 33 drops today

Posted on Nov 2, 2018 in Jordan Brand

A couple of weeks ago, Jordan Brand unveiled their latest flagship sneaker, the Air Jordan 33. With the objective of making the best possible performance shoe, the Jordan design team brings to us the FastFit technology. We were able to get the shoe a couple of days early to see how the new shoe stacks up.

Inspired by space suits while meshing design elements from the past, there’s so much to love about the new sneaker. Starting with the box, JB doesn’t disappoint with this one. The Air Jordan 33 comes in a white box with the Jumpman found on top and side panels. “Engineered for Flight” tags are placed on the box cover, definitely adding to the purposeful aesthetic of the overall product. The sneaker is wrapped in foil made specially for the Air Jordan 33. They also added a manual of sorts on how to operate the FastFit system.

The Air Jordan 33 also features the brand’s Flight Speed technology, as we see a carbon fiber plate to go with the Zoom Air unit. The FastFit mechanism can be seen on the outsole, giving you a glimpse on how the shoe tightens and loosens up. We will be honest and let you know that it was quite difficult to get into. But once you’re locked in, the Air Jordan 33 has got to be the most secure on-court sneaker that doesn’t rely on laces. Lastly, the pull and release system definitely stays in place and keeps you locked down throughout the game.

The Air Jordan 33 ‘Future Flight’ drops today, November 2nd, across Jordan Brand stockists. If you’re looking to pick up a pair, make your way to Titan, Capital, Nike Forum, The Athlete’s Foot and Nike Park. The sneaker retails for Php 9,895. Expect a couple more colorways drop in the coming weeks.
