New: PUMA is the Official Outfitter for the UP Fighting Maroons

In case you missed it, PUMA announced their multi-year partnership with the UP Men’s and Juniors’ Basketball Team, becoming the teams’ official outfitter for the upcoming UAAP Season.

“We’re proud to equip the UP Fighting Maroons with elite performance gear,” said PUMA Philippines Country Manager and proud UP alumn Paolo Misa. “At PUMA, we believe greatness lives within each athlete, and the right support brings it to life.” 

He added, “A championship team deserves only the best.”

This is definitely a wise and calculated move for the brand, as it strengthens its local presence in basketball. While we’ve seen several UP players don the leaping cat on their feet, the entire men’s basketball team will be equipped with athletic gear, both in-game, off-court and for training.

“As part of our global ‘Go Wild’ initiative, we’re here to unleash the greatness within and help athletes experience the true highs of sport,” said Misa. “The UP Fighting Maroons’ best is yet to come — and we’re honored to be on this journey with them.”

As they continue with their preparations for the upcoming UAAP season, the UP Men’s Basketball team is headed for Serbia for their training. Expect to see the Fighting Maroons don the Leaping Cat from head to toe this upcoming season.
