New: Vans MTE brings us the Crosspath

Posted on Sep 22, 2024 in Vans

Let’s get this straight — Vans isn’t just a skate brand. Over the course of the brand’s 50+ year history, we’ve seen all sorts of footwear from the brand – board sports, biking, and the outdoors. One thing that I’ve been very pleased with is their outdoor line or MTE (Made for the Elements).

From Water-proofed and Winterized variations of their classic silhouettes, to more recent pairs such as the Ultrarange Neo VR3, Vans shouldn’t really be seen as just a skate/street brand. The Vans MTE line makes sure you have a stylish shoe that’s not as chunky/bulky silhouettes, but really providing you that versatile sneaker that works in any environment. This season, Vans introduces us to the MTE Crosspath.

The Vans MTE Crosspath may initially look like your traditional skate shoe but built different. The shoe works on any terrain, inclement weather. The uppers are made of 100% recycled PET and reinforced with abrasion paneling, with its seamless RAPIDWELD construction treated with a non-PFC DWR water-repellent coating. I’ve worn the shoe for a good number of days and they’re quire lightweight and breathable. The outsole traction pattern provides grip and stays sturdy, exactly what you may need for those quick trips to the mountains or even the mall.

In terms of its midsole, the rubber is made with at least 50% biobased EVA foam and 31% of the rubber used for the outsole is regeneratively grown natural rubber sourced from farms utilizing proper agricultural practices.

The Vans MTE Crosspath comes in three colorways – Black/White, Yellow, and Frost Gray. The Vans MTE Crosspath is now available at https://www.tinyurl.com/VansPHOfficialChatStore and Vans Alabang Town Center, Vans Glorietta, Vans SM Megamall, Vans Trinoma, and Vans Ayala Center Cebu. The latest shoe from Vans retails for Php 8,498.00.
