New: Converse brings the Run Star Trainer out this Summer

When you think of Converse, you think of the All-Star. Fair? Fair.

But what if I told you there’s more to the century+ old brand than Chucks? Converse recently unveiled a shoe that took inspiration from various sports that proves to be as versatile as their All-Stars — the Run Star Trainer.

The Run Star Trainer takes cues from nearly 20 heritage silhouettes, with shoes built for some unconventional sports such as fencing, wrestling, triple jump and even steeple chase. The low profile silhouette joins the current wave that just works with today’s sensibilities. The outsole tread was taken from the CTAS, but extended through the heel fashioned with the Star logo, which was first seen on the Run Star Hike (2019).

One interesting thing to note for the Run Star Trainer is the different mix of materials used for the upper – nylon, suede, and leather – something you rarely see on most Converse silhouettes. These materials work well together, especially when done in the various colorways the shoe comes in. Five colorways will be available at launch – Golden Wren, Blue, Red, Egret, and Black.

the Converse Run Star Trainee will be available beginning July 8, 2024 via converse.ph and July 15 through select retail partners. The shoe retails for Php 4,290.
