New: Air Jordan XI Retro ‘Gratitude’ drops this Holiday Season
It’s that time of the year again.
Jordan SZN.
The holidays are upon us and what better shoe to bring out during the season than the Air Jordan XI. Through the years we’ve seen Jordan Brand whip out one of Tinker’s masterpieces but this year’s a little special. An updated take on the DMP XIs from 2006 drops this December, now called the Air Jordan XI ‘Gratitude’.
When the leaks dropped earlier this year, everybody thought it was just a re-hash of the ’06 release. Seeing the shoe up close, you’ll notice several updates that makes this shoe worth the pick up. Aside from the gold Jumpman and ’23’ patch on the heel, the ‘Gratitude’ 11s switches to an all premium leather upper (in lieu of the ballistic mesh we’ve seen on countless releases) to turn its luxe level up tenfold. Slipping into it, you’ll also feel the difference as they switched to a smooth-knit collar. A tinted translucent outsole and leather tongue complete the look. Think of this as a ‘thank you’ from Jordan Brand to their ‘day-ones’ and all those who continue to push Jordan’s legacy forward. As an added touch, the tag stitched on the inside tongue is revised to ‘Quality Basketball Product Created in Gratitude by the Greatest Player Ever’. Jordan also switched the packaging from the sleeved box to a much simpler black box with gold hits throughout.
The Air Jordan XI Retro ‘Gratitude’ drops 12/9 but will be available for Early Access via Titan, Jordan Manila, and SNKRS beginning 12/5. The shoe will be available in full family sizing and will be priced as follows:
