K is for Krusty Burger: adidas travels to Springfield for their latest A-ZX offering

Posted on Feb 12, 2021 in Adidas

The February releases for the A-ZX series is shaping up to be some of the best in the 26-pair pack. After releasing the Yucatan last weekend, adidas Originals heads to Springfield to release the Krusty Burger ZX 10000 this weekend.

As we’re nearing the completion of the A-ZX pack, the Krusty Burger represents K in the alphabet-based collection. Outside of the Lego ZX 8000 that dropped last September, the Krusty Burger ranks high among pop culture fanatics with the Simpsons’ long-running reign atop shows since 1989. But for those not too familiar with the series, the color blocking of the ZX 10000 is derived from the fictional fast food joint Krusty Burger, which is represented by Krusty the Clown. The overlays resemble the burgers sold at the joint while the cream and pastel tones are a nod to Krusty the Clown and his colorful getup. The bold lines definitely make you feel that you’re in the cartoon while the chenille heel represents Krusty’s curly green hair. The trefoil logo on the tongue was made to resemble Krusty’s face as well. The inside tongue has the Simpsons’ logo while the shoe comes with extra laces and dubraes.

The adidas ZX 10000 Krusty Burger drops today, February 12, via the adidas.com.ph site and the adidas app. Commonwealth is set to release the pair as well. The shoe retails for Php 7,000.
