30 year special: the Air Jordan VI ‘Carmine’ is back
Has it been 30 years? After winning their first title in ’91, MJ didn’t slow down as he entered the ’91-’92 season in Chicago rocking these bad boys on Opening Night. Jordan wore the Air Jordan VI ‘Carmine’, giving the hometown a taste of the VI in the team’s colors.
Inspired by MJ’s love for German cars, the shoe’s rubber tongue and heel ‘spoiler’ made the shoe stand out, especially during a time when designs were pretty plain up until this period. This isn’t the first time the shoe makes its return since ’91. We’ve seen iterations drop in 2008 and 2014, but this is the first time the shoe comes in OG detailing. From the ‘Nike Air’ on the heel, the OG sockliner and lace toggles, this is definitely a fitting tribute for a shoe celebrating its 30th this year.
The Air Jordan VI ‘Carmine’ drops this weekend but you can increase your chances today via Titan On Demand. The shoe retails for Php 9,445.
