Y is for YCTN: adidas Originals drops another A-ZX pair this February

I still feel the A-ZX Series is being slept on. I hope this one changes people’s minds and give the line a second look. After releasing the Frozen Lemonade ZX 8000s last week, we get a moccasin-inspired variant done on the ZX 9000. The ZX 9000 YCTN (Yucatan) is an ode to elevated design.

For those not too familiar, the Yucatan is one of the 32 states of Mexico, thus the influence of the moccasin-style design for this silhouette. The shoe uses premium materials, from its black suede upper to the premium nubuck accents and leather detailing found throughout. The contrast stitching definitely adds character to the shoe, but looking at them much closer, the stitching on the right shoe are Zs and the left pattern are Xs (get it, ZX?).

The adidas ZX 9000 YCTN drops today, February 5, via the adidas app and adidas.com.ph and retails for Php 8,000. For the rest of the A-ZX series, you can head on over to Commonwealth to complete the collection.
