All The Flavors – New Balance taps into Kawhi’s favorite childhood candy for the KAWHI

Relax, it’s just the Preseason. Go chew on some candy.

At the end of the day, Kawhi’s still Kawhi and we’ll still the man dominate the West this season. After launching the KAWHI 4 Bounces back in September, New Balance releases the next colorway here in the PH with the New Balance KAWHI x Jolly Rancher Collection.

While Kawhi rarely shows joy or any emoition on the floor, you must know that he’s got a sweet tooth. New Balance taps into that and teams up with his favorite childhood candy – Jolly Rancher. We saw Leonard debut the shoe during the NBA Western Conference Finals last September and we’re getting the Original Flavor (white) drop here in the PH.

Aside from the KAWHI, the local release also features the NB Kandy Tee (in three colorways – white, black and red). The tee features the entire Jolly Rancher fruit gang showcasing Kawhi’s deadpan expression. The gang can also be seen on the shoe’s tongue.

“Working closely with Kawhi on this collaboration infuses more of his personality into his signature collection and allows him to further showcase his style,” explained Jonathan Grondin, New Balance’s Design Director for Basketball “He wanted to ensure its design emulated the hard work he puts in on and off the court. I am excited to see this launch during the 2020 NBA playoffs while Kawhi continues to put his stamp on the game and culture.”

The New Balance KAWHI Jolly Rancher Collection drops this Saturday, December 19. The collection will be available at select New Balance stores (BHS/Trinoma/Glorietta) and Titan (Fort and titan22.com). The shoe will retail for Php 8,495 while the tee goes for Php 1,795.
