ALWAYS DREAMIN’: PUMA PH releases the RS-Dreamer this weekend
After seeing J.Cole rock the yet-to-be-released Clyde Hardwood during a pickup game with NBA players a little over a year ago, we all had the same question in mind — can J.Cole actually compete against NBA talent on a regular basis?
During the 2020 NBA All-Star Weekend, PUMA and J.Cole officially announced the launch of his first signature shoe, the RS-Dreamer. The TV spot that ran had one clear theme – never abandon your dream, despite the obstacles or challenges that may come your way. Despite the COVID-caused lockdown, we finally saw NBA and WNBA athletes wear the pairs during the restart, most notably players like Danny Green, Kyle Kuzma, and Rajon Rondo to name a few.
Focusing back to the sneaker, J. Cole further talks about the DREAMER portion of the sneaker – ‘When said out loud, all the best dreams sound crazy.’ As the years roll on, PUMA Hoops have been churning out solid basketball silhouettes, the RS-Dreamer included.
The shoe looks great both on and off the court, as the shoe is equipped with the brand’s RS Running foam (RS Foam) for energy return and ProFoam midsole for its cushioning. Aside from the striking colors, the disruptive cord lacing system stands out giving you a snug fit throughout the forefoot and midfoot. Lastly, the shoe uses a high-abrasion rubber outsole for grip and traction.
As for J.Cole? We seriously can’t wait for him to make an appearance at the Detroit Pistons Preseason Camp this December if he’s willing to take his game to the next level. The Dreamer is serious, and we can’t wait.
The PUMA RS-Dreamer drops tomorrow, November 14, exclusively at PUMA Trinoma and retails for Php 6,950. Quantities are limited.
