Women take the stage as Jordan Brand unveils their Fall 2020 lineup
As we end the Summer 2020 slate this June, Jordan Brand just unveiled their Fall 2020 collection, highlighting fresh takes on their retro line. The Fall Collection drops throughout July all the way to September, and may vary especially with COVID-19 still spreading throughout the world. Do note that these are merely the highlights of the collection, and the season will still be peppered with other brand Jordan silhouettes throuhghout. Here are the highlights for Fall 2020:
The Jordan Brand Fall 2020 collection brings fresh design approaches to retro looks. Four iterations of the Air Jordan I and three women’s-exclusive styles lead the latest from the Jumpman.
WOMEN’S AIR JORDAN I HI OG
As a follow up to the 2019 Satin Black Toe, Jordan brings out a women’s-exclusive mode using satin, faux snakeskin and leather in a pseudo-Chicago color-blocking.
AIR JORDAN I RETRO HIGH OG CO.JP
Back in 2001, Nike’s CO.JP group released this Air Jordan I with a Metallic Silver finish exclusively for Japan. This Fall, Jordan offers the silhouette on a global scale, complete with the silver Jumpman hangtag and CO.JP sockliners. For Jordan purists, you do know the value and quality put in to the CO.JP pairs. To keep things special in Japan, the shoe will come in silver suitcases individually numbered to 2,020 pieces. Call your Japan plugs for this one.
AIR JORDAN I HI OG
Back in 2005, Undefeated created a limited Dunk HI NL with a bunch of colors and quality materials. Fast forward 15 years, Jordan Brand pays homage to Tokyo with a play on the same colors used on the classic Dunk. The ‘Bio Hack’ Air Jordan I is slated for a September release.
AIR JORDAN I RETRO HI OG
Now this is right up my alley. Jordan Brand goes clean with the grey and white toe box and side panels, with a red collar providing a pop to the iconic Jordan silhouette. The Air Jordan I Retro High OG is slated to drop this July.
WOMEN’S AIR JORDAN III RETRO
Don’t you wish you fit into women’s sizing? The Women’s Air Jordan III Retro comes in white tumbled leather with Laser Orange hits on the midsole, Jumpman and eyestay. Jumpman on the back and elephant print on the toe and heel, what more can you ask for?
AIR JORDAN III SE
At first glance, you’d think it was just a play on the Fire Red and White Cement colorways of the Air Jordan III. But looking at it up close, you’ll notice that they replaced the toe and heel with raw denim. The Japanese-inspired III also feature a translucent Nike Air/Jumpman heel tab and comes in a special denim elephant-print box. If you want to up the ante further, a Japanese-exclusive comes with Japanese Nike Air branding on the heel tab. These are tentatively set to drop this August.
AIR JORDAN V RETRO ‘OREGON’
We’re still celebrating the Air Jordan V’s 30th anniversary this 2020 and as a follow up to the ‘Michigan’ Air Jordan V, JB comes with all green rendition reminiscent of another Jordan school exclusive. The new Air Jordan V comes with a premium green suede upper with yellow and black hits throughout. With the black reflective tongue and Jordan woven jock tag on the heel, this Air Jordan V definitely checks some boxes for Jordan fans.
WOMEN’S AIR JORDAN VI RETRO’
This falls under the ‘Why do women get all the love?’ basket. Jordan releases another women’s exclusive, this time for the Air Jordan VI. Using different colors and materials, the grey/black combo goes hard. The shoe comes with a metallic Jumpman hangtag while the sockliner features inspirational messages.
AIR JORDAN XII RETRO
Over the past few years, Jordan Brand has been releasing colorways from their archives that previously were Player or Team Exclusives. Similar to the Air Jordan V, the Air Jordan XII now comes in color blocking most recently worn by the Michigan Wolverines. Others may also trace this colorway to what Gary Payton wore during his lone season with the LA Lakers. Barring delays, the Air Jordan XII Retro is slated to drop this July.
AIR JORDAN XII RETRO
Back in 2012, Jordan Brand released the Air Jordan XII in an Obsidian colorway. Though this Indigo blue-dyed pair looks awfully similar to that release, the dyed upper wears over time, making each pair unique to the user. I can’t wait to see people wear these to show off their 1-of-1 stylings. The Air Jordan XII Retro is set to drop this August.
AIR JORDAN XIII RETRO
During the 2010-2011 season, sweet-shooting Ray Allen achieved the 3-point record and wore these on feet. The Air Jordan XIII ‘Lucky Green’ continues to be one of the best looking Air Jordan XIIIs in existence. If you’re looking to pick these up, they’re set to drop this September.
AIR JORDAN XIV RETRO
While the Is, IIIs, IVs, and VIs hold a special place in most Jordan heads’ hearts, the Air Jordan XIV (when done right), is right up there. This Hyper Royal color update reminds us how great the Air Jordan XIV could be. From the genuine leather uppers to the glossy-finish midsole, the Air Jordan XIV should be on your feet this September.
We will be posting more on the Jordan Brand Fall 2020 Collection as they near their release dates.
