Just In: new colorways for the Nike Air Max 2090
Back in March, Nike unveiled their latest addition to the Air Max family, the Air Max 2090. Taking design cues and the DNA of the Air Max 90 from 30 years ago, the 2090 envisions what the future holds. Just like the AM90, the AM2090 also took inspiration from the future of transportation (the 90 took ideas from Italian sports cars) and as a follow up to the launch, Nike just dropped a couple more colorways for the season.
This season, the Air Max 2090’s colorways are inspired by Retro Futurism. Still along the lines of future transportation, Nike takes on environment exploration, bringing canyon-like earth tones, clean colors and bold, bright hues to the silhouette.
Just like the Air Max 90, darker colors highlight the shoe’s overall support structure. The Air Max 2090 go 100% opaque for the most supportive materials and the least supportive are see-through. This also keeps the shoe lighter than most.
Taking the Air Max 90’s design to the next level, the Air Max 2090’s Air unit is 200% larger than its predecessor.
Following the same design ethos of the Air Max 90, the Air Max 2090 also features a cropped Swoosh, albeit updated for 2020.
Aside from the core design elements, Nike also took the AM90’s original tread lines and updated it for 2020. The Air Max 2090 features both the waffle outsole and a similar outsole we’ve seen on the Air Max 270 encapsulating the Air unit on the heel.
The Nike Air Max 2090 is now available at Nike Park and across Nike’s retail network. The shoe retails for Php 7,195 and comes in Men’s and Women’s sizing. Check out the new colorways below:
