Release Reminder: Air Jordan VI ‘DMP’
After several premature store releases and a couple release moves, the DMPs finally get an official release date.
Back in 2006, Jordan Brand released the Defining Moments Package – a two pair pack (Jordan Brand did several 2-pair packs back in the day) featuring key moments of MJ’s storied career. The first DMP featured the Air Jordan VI (the shoe MJ wore during his first ‘chip) and the Air Jordan XI (his 4th during the 72-10 season). While both pairs are on the list of favorites for Jordan fans, what if you just wanted the VI or the XI? With the high resale value of the pack, it was next to impossible to get the pairs these days.
Enter 2020.
Jordan Brand decided to release the Air Jordan VI ‘DMP’ this year, this time sold separately from the XI. The shoe comes in a smooth suede black upper, with gold replacing the traditional infrared/sport red accents. The accents are seen on the Jumpman found on the throat as well on the midsole and the ’23’ stamped on the heel. The icy outsole rounds out the shoe’s classic design, making the shoe so much more coveted.
The Air Jordan VI ‘DMP’ 2020 is set to drop this Saturday, April 18, via Nike.com/ph. We understand that the shoe is also slated to drop via Titan and other Nike doors (when they open). The shoe retails for Php 9,895.
